- We then make sure these assets are properly titled in the name of the trust, which often involves transferring ownership or retitling accounts.
- “Crucially, we also need to secure physical assets like real estate and valuables. Imagine walking into someone’s home after they’ve passed and needing to figure out what belongs to the trust – it can get complex quickly.”
“Finally, we determine the date-of-death value for each asset. This is essential for accurate tax reporting and distribution calculations.”
